S. Michael Imperiale Jr M.D. was the Senior Director for Global Medical Affairs for BioMarin, a biopharmaceutical company with headquarters in San Rafael, California. He conducted the clinical portion of the Pre-Investigational Device Exemption meeting with the Food and Drug Administration and was responsible for several global divisions, including Scientific Affairs. He was previously the Vice President of Clinical Research Operations at Hana Biosciences.
